All of the components of our accessories are made of stainless steel 316L. But what is stainless steel 316L and where does it differ?

Stainless steel 316L

Stainless steel or rustless steel is a metal widely used in jewellery, cutlery, jet engine parts, surgical and photographic equipment, and even surgical instruments. It is made up of various metal alloys with varying chemical compositions. This metal comes in nearly 150 different grades, but the most common is a combination of chrome and steel.
This particular combination combines the steel's strength, durability, and functionality with chrome's corrosion resistance.
Because stainless steel is mostly polished to a high gloss, it has a mirror-like reflection and shine.

Due to its chemical composition, stainless steel does not rust or tarn, is hypoallergenic, meaning that the wearer cannot be allergic to this metal and is completely waterproof as it does not rust. After exiting the pool or the sea, it is recommended to wash the chlorine or the sea salt off with regular water in order to make sure your jewellery piece keeps its shine.

Important note

All of our accessories are made of "full" stainless steel and not empty inside, which makes the material heavier and more robust. It is almost impossible to bend our products by hand, only that the quality of our products is our highest priority.
